October 2026 added four crafting stones and three challenge scrolls.
OO Cat did not stamp a 1.0.2 on this one. The Steam post is titled Recent Game Updates 2026.10, dated 2026-10-02, and it is a content drop: named stones that reroll the part of an item you actually hate, three challenge portals you pop from a scroll, and three Treasure Sprites with jobs you can read in one line.
If you have been sitting on a “almost right” weapon since launch, this is the update that finally gives you a button for that.
The four stones — pick the one that matches the problem
These are named consumables. The post does not say where they drop, how rare they are, or what they cost. Ignore farm routes that the developer did not publish.
- Reforging Stone rerolls an item’s base attributes. Use it when the skill text is already the build and the boring numbers are wrong.
- Tempering Stone rerolls negative affixes. This is the “this staff is cracked except it keeps cursing me” button.
- Chaos Stone rerolls skill affixes. That is not the same thing as the blacksmith elemental reforge on the reforging guide. Chaos is for the skill-granting lines, not the frost-versus-lightning color of a damage bonus.
- Enchantment Stone has a 10% chance to add one extra skill affix. The post does not mention a pity timer. Misses are part of the cost.
Items now remember the dungeon difficulty and tier they came from. Ascension Stones take those dungeon bonuses into account when they reroll attributes. Campaign junk and Inferno loot are no longer the same input.
For how those stones sit next to sets and skill-granting gear, use the equipment and affixes guide.
Three scrolls, three different “I want a fight” buttons
Again, no drop source in the post. What they do is clear:
- Demon Challenge Scroll opens a Boss Dungeon at Master.
- Treasure Map opens a Treasure Vault with 10 rare chests at Nightmare.
- Infernal Challenge Scroll opens a Void Inferno with 3 bosses at Inferno.
Master, Nightmare and Inferno are the same Greater Rift difficulty names from launch. These scrolls skip the “I wish I had a targeted farm” problem by opening the portal themselves. They do not change the rule that Greater Rifts unlock after you finish the story. See the campaign guide and the Greater Rifts page.
Three new Treasure Sprites
Launch 1.0 only said Sprites pick up loot, salvage into gold, and walk through walls. October 2026 finally names three:
- Charge Sprite builds a shield equal to a percentage of your maximum health every 8 seconds. The post does not give the percentage.
- Guardian Sprite stops lethal damage and revives you. 20 second cooldown.
- Wisdom Sprite opens chests for you and has an extra chance to drop one more rare item.
The same post adds numerical shields that stack, plus skills that fire when a shield breaks. Charge Sprite is feeding that new shield layer, not just floating around looking helpful.
Pickup, salvage and wall-walking still work the way the Treasure Sprite guide already describes. These three names are extra jobs on top, not a replacement roster.
Greater Rifts now have bosses on the way up
A mini-boss every 5 floors. A major boss every 10. That is the first official floor rule since launch. The four difficulties are unchanged.
The quality-of-life that actually changes how you play
- Inventory and storage pages can be set to grab specific item types, so picked-up loot lands on the matching page.
- You can favorite items. Favorites skip Sell All and keep their slot when you sort.
- Set pieces show a set number in the top-right corner.
- The Rune Fusion Station combines 5 lower-tier Equipment Skill Runes into a higher-tier rune. Equipment Skill Runes and Attribute Runes can also be sold by quality.
- Each skill on the bar gets its own Auto-Attack toggle. Summoning skills now summon without a manual cast.
- Hold a button to keep using items, socketing gems, or enhancing at the Blacksmith.
- Particle-effect quality levels, 6K display support, and a new gamepad detection system.
- Ascension Mirror unlocks one additional main story chapter. The store still lists 7 chapters; treat the Mirror as a live unlock, not a rewritten campaign count.
Announced, not live
The same Steam post lists work still in development. Do not play as if these already dropped:
- Set Piece Conversion
- Potion Fusion
- Scroll Fusion
- Set Gems (one in the main-hand, one in the off-hand)
- an NPC that sells Treasure Chests
- Achievement System
- Mercenaries
There is also a Unity engine upgrade plan. That is a future performance project, not a current settings toggle.
Launch-week bug fixes still live on the 1.0.1 patch page. This October post does not replace that list.
